Far East Movement
Far East Movement blends pop, hip-hop, dance and electronica to create the musical aesthetic they call ‘Free Wired’. The four-man group consisting of Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman have spread this vibe around the world opening for major artists on tour.
The four, who grew up together in L.A. and were influenced by the West Coast’s diverse music scene, formed the group in 2003, and scored a number one single in 2010 with ‘Like a G6’. They also got a major breakthrough in terms of exposure that year when they were tapped to appear on tours with superstars like Lady Gaga, N*E*R*D, and Rihanna. They were nominated for an MTV Video Music Award Japan for Best Hip-Hop Video in 2011.
